Schuylkill driver facing DUI charge

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, in the area of W. Cherry and S. Chestnut sts., in Shenandoah.

State police at Frackville said David Wylie, 36, of Shenandoah, was stopped for a traffic violation at the above-stated location. He was found to be under the influence and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
