Pocono DUI arrests reported
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers in recent days.
On Thursday, June 24, about 6:58 p.m. officers were dispatched to SR196 and Wildflower Road in Tobyhanna Township, for a disabled vehicle on the road. Moments later the officers were advised by A Pocono Country Place security had followed the vehicle with no front tire from the main gate to a residence.
As police arrived the driver, later identified as Loredana Joseph, 26, of Tobyhanna, refused to exit the vehicle. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. She refused to submit to a blood test and will lose her license for a year for the refusal. She was also charged with public drunkenness in addition to DUI, police said.
On Saturday, June 26, about 10:46 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR611, south of Clear Run Intermediate school, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Timothy Kresge, 52, of Pocono Summit. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
On Sunday, June 27, about 2:29 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR115 at New Ventures Industrial Park, in Blakeslee, Tobyhanna Township, for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Gary E. Todd Jr., 52, of East Hanover, N.J. He as found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to PMC for a blood test.
A check on Todd's license revealed he had an arrest warrant issued out of Carbon County. He was turned over to Kidder Township police who had the Carbon warrant. Pocono police said the DUI charge is pending the test results.
Also on Sunday, about 2:17 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop along Knob Road in Mt. Pocono for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Alfredo Rodriguez, 53, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
