Assault incident in Carbon probed

State police at Lehighton reported they are investigating an assault incident in Carbon County.

Troopers said on June 23 about 6:30 p.m. Margaret-Mary Platzer, 48, of 14 Unionville Rd., in Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, and a 17-year-old female became involved in a physical altercation after an argument. During the altercation the teen wrestled with Platzer causing her to suffer a minor injury.

The investigation into the incident is continuing and anyone having information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
