PV students of the month

The Panther Valley Middle School recently announced their Student of the Month recipients for September. Students are selected for this distinction by their teachers. Criteria for selection includes academic standing, behavior and discipline, and/or leadership within their grade level. Eighth grade September Student of the Month is Lukas Damian. Lukas is 13 years old and the son of Molly and Frank Damian of Nesquehoning. He is involved with football, baseball, basketball, and track and field. Lukas is also a member of the middle school recycling club. Sixth grade September Student of the Month is Jessica Wiese. Jessica is the 12 year old daughter of Scott and Michelle Kane of Nesquehoning. She is a member of CYO volleyball, yearbook club, phys. ed. club, and chorus. Kayla Rivers is the seventh grade September Student of the Month. Kayla is the daughter of Edward and Joanne Rivers of Coaldale. She is 11 years old. Her school activities include cheerleading and phys. ed. club. Panther Valley Middle School Students of the Month are recognized by the middle school principal, Mrs. Lisa Mace. They receive a certificate of their accomplishment along with a $10 Walmart gift card.
