A daughter, Sophia Julia Serfass, was born at 4:21 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown, to Tammy and Danny Serfass Jr. of Lehighton. She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 21 inches long.
Sophia was welcomed home by her older siblings, Brianna Oswald, 16; Owen Serfass, 3; and Olivia Serfass, 1.
Maternal grandparents are Martha and Pete Balogach, Lehighton.
Paternal grandparents are Danny and Tessy Serfass, Palmerton.
Maternal great-grandmother is Gloria Balogach, Lehighton.
Paternal great-grandmothers are Betty Serfass and Marianne Cznadel, both of Palmerton.
