Copper wire stolen from Blue Mtn. Ski Area

Two wooden spools of copper wire worth $1,950 were stolen from the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township.

State Police at Lehighton said an unknown suspect drove a small vehicle onto the property at 7:30 a.m. Friday and loaded two wooden spools of copper wire into the vehicle and left.

Each wooden spool was about 12 to 14 inches in diameter and contained #4 gauge XHHW 7 strand copper wire covered with black casing. Each spool is valued at $975.
