Bank helps with cameras
Jim Thorpe National Bank donated $1,000 to Nesquehoning Borough to purchase two cameras for the police cars. Costing $4,995 per unit. The borough is hoping that more businesses step forward to help purchase the cameras. The cameras are made by the company who supplies cameras to the PA State Police Department. They are court tested in the PA Court System as to their accuracy and validity for evidence purposes. They have been pre-bid by Co-Stars Bidding Program. Councilman Frank DiMiceli approached Nesquehoning Borough Council with the idea and was supported by both council and the mayor. Left to right during check presentation are Councilmen Michael Sniscak, Frank DiMiceli, David Hawk, Craig Zurn, president and CEO of Jim Thorpe National Bank; Bill Gardiner and Joe Arieta, board of directors; and Nesquehoning Mayor Tony Walck.
