Northern Lehigh and Lehighton finished second and fourth respectively in the Bullett Invitation at Brandywine over the weekend.

Palmerton finished seventh at New Hope-Solebury, while Tamaqua ended up seventh at Bloomsburg.

The Bulldogs ended up in second place behind tournament champion Central Dauphin, while the Indians finished fourth.

The Bulldogs crowned three individuals champions and one runner-up, while the Indians wound up with three members falling just short of titles.

The tournament featured a local showdown between the Bulldogs' Craemer Hedash and the Indians' David Lucykanish in the championship bout at 152.

Hedash that scored a 5-2 decision.

Nikko Stevens (140) and Dylan Hofmann (145) grabbed the other first-place finishes for the Bulldogs, while Colin Hedash settled for second place at 171.

The Indians' Matt Dorward (189) and Briar Stern (285) traveled home with second place honors.

Northern Lehigh's Hunter Grol (189), Ty Herzog (112), Zane Heller (119) and Lehighton's Jacob Hoats (103) all sported third-place finishes.

Jim Thorpe Duals

Jim Thorpe hosted its annual Dual Meet Tournament to kick off the regular season and went 0-4. Panther Valey meanwhile went 1-3 on the afternoon.

Dillon Smith finished 3-1 for the Olympians, while Nick O'Donnell, John Schaeffer and Kevin Schaller all went 3-1 for the Panthers

Tamaqua in

Bloomsburg Tourney

When the two-day Bloomsburg Tournament came to an end, Tamaqua traveled home with a seventh-place finish as a team. The Blue Raiders garnered two individuals champions in Kolby Mashack and Garth Lakitsky.

Coughlin High School edged Hanover High School for the overall team championship.

Mashack (135-pound weight class) and Lakitsky (215-pounds) both went untouched at 3-0 in their respective weight classes for the Blue Raiders.

In the title bout, Mashack scored a 6-4 decision over Mahanoy Area's Nathan Fegley. Meanwhile, Lakitsky scored a pin in 1:40 over Mahanoy Area's Nick Forte.

The Blue Raiders' Matt Edmonds won the most bouts by going 5-1 overall and ended up with a third-place finish for his efforts.

Palmerton in

New Hope Tournament

Dan Costenbader came home with a first place finish as the Blue Bombers ended up 7th with 111 team points in the 16-team tournament over the weekend at New Hope-Solebury.

Costenbader pinned Dominic Scirrotto of Lower Moreland in 2:17 to win the 145-pound weight class in the tourney won by Malvern Prep with 209 1/2 points.

Mike Englert reached the finals at 152 points but dropped a 5-1 decision to Academy of the New Church's Stephen Rohtla to finish second.

Sam Oberlander decisioned Conwell-Egan's Patrick Hecker 98 in the consolation finals at 103 to finish third.
