CCOW present prizes to winners of house decorating contest

Concerned Citizens of Weissport held the annual House Decorating contest Friday night with winners notified on Sunday.
Top winner was the Moyer residence at 306 White Street.
Lynette Moyer said she loves to decorate and the display certainly had it all. They was music playing, a talking Santa Claus waving and a manger scene, and that was only on the porch. On the second floor, she had a Santa and sleigh and snowman on the porch roof and on each side yard she had more displays, including a train, reindeer, and Mickey and Minnie taking turns popping up.
For her efforts, Moyer was presented a check of $100 toward her light bill by Tammy Solt and Linda Schoenberger.
Taking second place honors was the home of Debbie Sterling at 418 White St. The display featured white lights and garland, which was topped off by Christmas dolls in the window. She was awarded a check of $75.
The third place winner was Robert Green's home at 301 White Street. This display featured poinsettias, blue icicles and candles which was a real eye catcher for the judges.
Judges were Duane and Barbara Dellecker and Bob Maholick, who selected the winners based on creativity, originality and ability to show their Christmas spirit in the form of a display suitable to the season.
