Skid Row, FireHouse at Penn's Peak on July 30 Also just announced is a return appearance on Feb. 27 by Big Shot - Ultimate Billy Joel Tribute

Two classic rock bands are paying a visit to Penn's Peak in 2010.

Skid Row and FireHouse will be appearing in a twinbill on Friday, July 30. Tickets, costing $24 in advance and $29 on the day of the show, go on sale Saturday, Dec. 26.

Also just announced is Big Shot - Ultimate Billy Joel Tribute, on Saturday, Feb. 27. Tickets at $17 in advance go on sale this coming Saturday, Dec. 19.

Skid Row formed in 1986 in Toms River, N.J. Their debut album went on to sell over 5 million copies in the United States, along with a tour that took them around the world.

By 1995, after nearly a decade of success, band relationships severely strain, but they reluctantly go into the studio to record what was thought to be their final release, "Subhuman Race." Soon after, the band parted ways.

That was until late 1999 when founding members Rachel Bolan, Scotti Hill, and Snake Sabo decided that Skid Row meant far to much to them let the music fade into rock obscurity.

The band regrouped with some new members and to this day continues to write songs, make CDs, and tour.

FireHouse, who recorded their first LP in 1990, continues to evolve their musical style, yet at the same time hang onto their hard rock roots.

Hits by FireHouse include "Reach for the Sky," "When I Look Into Your Eyes," and "In Your Perfect World."

Big Shot is fronted by the vocals of singer/songwriter and Michael DelGuidice. DelGuidice is a well known and respected Long Island Musician with the innate ability to capture the essence, heart, and soul of Billy's music "second only to Billy himself," he says on his web site.

Big Shot plays Joel's hit songs in a tribute so spot-on that Billy Joel himself is quoted as saying, "They had a hard time convincing me that it wasn't me."

The next performance at Penn's Peak is on Wednesday, Dec. 30, when Greg Allman is playing in concert.

Allman is a rock and blues singer, keyboardist, guitarist and songwriter, best known as a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band.

He was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, and personally received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

His distinctive Southern-accented voice placed him in 70th place in Rolling Stone Magazines list of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time".

Hits by the Allman Brothers include "Ramblin' Man" and "Straight From the Heart."
