Burglary, theft incidents probed

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary and theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at the home of Paul Wesley Snyder, 19, of Apt. 4, SR115, just north of Heller's Service Station, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said a poorly secured window was used to gain entry to the living room. Removed was three plastic jugs of change, a black flashlight and three DVDs. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, and 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Alois F. Perz, 78, of 11 Potomac Lane, Mt. Pocahontas, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported someone removed 50 red bricks from his property sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.

Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
