Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, alleging defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Arrow Financial Services, c/o 520 Fellowship Rd., Mount Laurel, N.J., filed three actions as follows: Theresa Seligan, 245 Mauch Chunk St., Jim Thorpe, seeking $1,515.63; Michael Rizzo, 105 Deer View Drive, Jim Thorpe, seeking $2,770.34; and Rita M. Williams, aka, Rita M. Chang, 35 Hummingbird Drive, Jim Thorpe, seeking $5,389.95.

HSBC Bank Nevada, 1111 Town Center Drive, Las Vegas, Nev., filed against Patricia M. Brobst, 149 Ashley Lane, Lehighton, seeking $2,536.38.

FIA Card Services, c/o 520 Fellowship Rd., Mount Laurel, N.J, filed against John R. Walck, 369 N. Fifth St., Lehighton, seeking $12,880.74.

CACH, 340 S. Monaco St., Denver, Colo., filed against James A. Hessler Sr., 54 Wintergreen Trail, Albrightsville, seeking $20,388.29.

Mortgageforeclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

Wells Fargo Bank, c/o 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, S.C., filed an action against John and Stacey Crispo, 105 Green Valley Drive, Palmerton, over property at that address. Sought is $129,543.08 and continuing interest.

Wells Fargo Bank filed an action against Todd A. and Sandra Moore, 117 Gower Rd., Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $193,286.72 and continuing interest.

Wells Fargo Bank filed an action against Benjamin and Rita Zayas, 10 Ute Trail, Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $126,674.75 and continuing interest.

One West Bank, c/o 201A Fairyview Drive, Monaca, Beaver County, filed an action against Evelyn Colon and Marilyn Cardona, of 171 Stone Ridge Rd., Albrightsville, over property at that address. Sought is $287,548.44 and continuing interest.

LVNV Funding, 15 S. Main St., Greenville, S.C., filed an action against Michael P. Gillespie, 1011 Stoney Mountain Rd., Albrightsville, seeking $6,834.61 and interest.

Chase Home Finance, 3415 Vision Drive, Columbus, Ohio, filed an action against Kelly and Suzanne Rackham, 108 W. Patterson St., Lansford, over property at that address. Sought is $89,948.60 and continuing interest.

South Point Inc., 14523 SW Milikan Way, Beaverton, Ore., filed an action against Frank and Lorraine Summers, 20 Hiawatha Trail, Albrightsville, seeking $172,303 and continuing interest.

U.S. Bank National Association, c/o 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, S.C., filed an action against Sharon Benner, 43 Jones St., Lansford, over property at that address. Sought is $29,076.20 and continuing interest.

Bills owed

Two separate actions were filed by firms alleging bills are owed for services rendered.

Yellow Brook Sales, 107 N. Commerce Way, Bethlehem, filed against T.V.J. Contractors Inc., 475 Maxine Drive, Lehighton, seeking $8,083.37.

Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, filed against Kimberly L. Blum, 623 E. Patterson St., Lansford, seeking $16,204.92.

Car dispute

Jeffrey R. Brozozwski, 1475 S. Krocks Rd., Wescosville, filed a civil action against James J. Catania, dba, Jim's Car Care, Box 1756, Kunkletown R.1, and 115 Railroad St., Lehighton.

The suit states the plaintiff and defendant entered into a contract in May 2007 for the defendant to restore a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. It further states the plaintiff made payments to the defendant for parts, etc., for the car in the restoration process.

The suit alleges the vehicle is still not restored and completed. The plaintiff seeks return of the car and $1,500 paid to date for parts, etc., or in the alternative, for payment for the estimated value of the vehicle of $60,000.

Auto crash suit

Dakota Michael Stadtmueller, a minor, by his parent, Herman Stadtmueller, 2241 Indian Hill Rd., Lehighton, filed a complaint seeking damages as the result of an automobile accident. Defendants named were: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Department of General Services, PennDOT, Bureau of Highway Safety and Traffic Engineering; Carbon County; Commissioners of Carbon County; Towamensing Township; and Amy Stadtmuller.

The suit alleges on Oct. 11, 2007, Amy Stadtmuller was driving a car with the minor a passenger along SR209 about 10 a.m. when a crash occurred. The suit alleges that the crash occurred due to defective, dangerous and unsafe condition of the road, namely the slant/slope in the road which caused a large pool of water to exist" which caused the car to leave the road and collided into a tree. The crash caused severe and permanent injuries to the minor, the suit further states.

Negligence is alleged against all the defendants because they either owned, leased, operated, supervised, maintained, had right-of-way and/or controlled the roadway and tree involved."

Sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of two counts.

Amy Stadtmuller also filed a similar action alleging the same negligence and seeking the same damages.
