Carbon Salary Board approves changes

The Carbon County Salary Board approved the following changes during its monthly meeting on Thursday. The changes are as follows:

Court Administration

• Establish the position of one certified court reporter at $19.67 per hour, effective Oct. 1.

• Establish the position of one judicial secretary at $12.90 per hour, effective Oct. 1.

• Establish the position of one law clerk at $29,374.80 a year, effective Oct. 1.

• Establish the position of one tipstaff* at $88.07 per day, effective Oct. 1.

Building and Grounds

• Abolish the position of one summer buildings/grounds laborer at $9 per hour, effective Oct. 1.

Children and Youth Services

• Change the rate of one county caseworker II from $14.21 per hour, to $14.64 per hour, effective Oct. 29.

Tax Assessment

• Change the rate of one assistant chief assessor from $13.53 per hour, to $13.94 per hour, effective Oct. 14.

Tax Claim

• Change the salary of one director from $35,362.60 a year, to $30,503.20 a year, effective Nov. 11.

*Excluded from the retirement plan, not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.
