Octoberfestslated for Sunday

St. Joseph's Church in Jim Thorpe will hold its annual Octoberfest from noon to 7 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Flagstaff Ballroom. Admission and parking are free.

At the fest will be ethnic foods such as kielbasa, haluski, halupki, and German potato salad. There will also be children's games, a craft table, a bake sale and more. Entertainment will be provided by the Rhinelanders.

A free shuttle bus from the east side of Jim Thorpe is also available. The bus will begin picking up at noon in front of St. Joseph's Regional Academy, Sixth Street. The bus runs on the hour.
