October 13, 1979 Erik Stryker scores three touchdowns and Lehighton pulls away from Palmerton for a 27-6 Centennial League victory. Stryker finishes with 66 yards rushing, with two of his scores coming from a yard out and the other a 27-yard scamper. Danny David leads the balanced Indian rushing attack with 88 yards while the winners, coached by Jim Wentz, also receive a TD pass from Jim Hauser to Tom Sangulliano.
