October 21, 1978 Barry Beck rushes for 109 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Pleasant Valley to a 21-6 victory over Weatherly. Beck's scores, which came in the fourth quarter, come on runs of five and 25 yards. The Bears, coached by Tony Caracio, also receive a six-yard scoring run from Charlie Conklin while Greg Waller kicks all three extra points. The Wreckers' lone TD comes on an 80-yard punt return by Rich Bresnock.
