Only way to correct issues
Dear Editor:
In response to the letter received concerning seating for people with disabilities, I have a suggestion. When the Tamaqua School District corrects the problem, I suggest they publically announce their plans and request input from people with disabilities. The only true way to correct these issues are to have the people with the seating concerns be present with hands on guidance. Their suggestions are "golden" to correcting the problem.
I would also like to suggest that the "able bodied" population take the time for example, to watch an entire high school football game through a chain linked fence, or in a designated seating area with several hand rails in your sight, it's very uncomfortable, and most importantly unwelcoming. We need to work together on this issue, let "small town America" be the example of how it's done correctly.
