LCCC offers job training courses in Schuylkill County area

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is pleased to offer the following job training courses to individuals in the Schuylkill County area.

Pharmacy Technician

This course prepares you for the retail and hospital pharmacy setting.

It will stress basic skills, knowledge of pharmacy terms, prescription reading, medical terminology, drug delivery systems, IV therapy and aseptic technique, chemotherapy awareness, dose calculations, dosage forms, pharmacy law, inventory control, purchasing, hospital structure, and pharmacy reimbursement. Talk to a pharmacy technician working in the field; experience a demonstration of pharmaceutical lab techniques; practice the skills needed to provide excellent technical support and patient care. From here you can take the Certified Pharmacy Technician exam; land your first pharmacy technician position; continue your education.

Customer Service

This course prepares you to secure employment in customer service. You will learn basic skills in English, mathematics, communication, team building, computer skills, data entry, proofreading, effective listening skills, telephone techniques, diversity awareness, conflict resolution, and job readiness. In addition, students will receive skills certification. Become proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Prepare to work for companies using call centers such as utilities, credit card companies, insurance companies, and banks. Work for service organizations such as hotels, caterers, travel agencies, hospitals, and employment agencies.
