Monroe man facing drug charges

A Monroe County man, arrested on armed robbery charges, is now facing drug counts.

On Friday, Oct. 16, Pocono Mountain Regional police assisted Pocono Township police were serving a warrant on Ahmed Darwish, 20, of 43 Cobblewood Drive, Mt. Pocono, for the armed robbery of the Acron service station.

At the time of the arrest police found Darwish in possession of crack cocaine, pills, a crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia. Pocono Regional police filed those drug charges against Darwish and he was arraigned before a district judge and placed in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
