Driver cited after Carbon accident

A driver was cited following a crash that occurred about 11:25 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, along Pohopoco Drive, in Franklin Township, Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Andrew J. Hedmeck, 23, of Lehighton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound when it went off onto the north berm and struck the guide rail. Hedmeck was not injured.

He was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed, troopers said.
