Boy Scouts
Summit Hill Boy Scout Troop 743 has changed the day of its weekly meetings. The Scouts meet on Sundays at 6 p.m. at the former St. Paul United Church of Christ, Summit Hill. For more information, contact Scoutmaster Dave Vidzicki, (570) 645-2510.
Presbyterian Church
The Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, formerly the First Presbyterian Church of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill, has resumed its regular worship service schedule. It is as follows: Sunday school and adult Bible study, 9 a.m.; and worship service, 10:30 a.m. Communion will be celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
Communion breakfast
The Our Lady of Fatima Sodality, formerly of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will hold its annual Communion Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 18. The annual event will be held this year on the anniversary of the "Miracle of the Sun at Fatima."

Trick or Treat
Summit Hill Mayor Paul R. McArdle has set Saturday, Oct. 31, as Trick or Treat Night in the borough. Youths are encouraged to participate in the activity between 6-8 p.m., during which time added police patrols will be assigned to help ensure the safety of the participants.
Water authority
The Summit Hill Water Authority will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 20, (third Tuesday) at 7 p.m. in the borough hall. John Michalik, president, will be in charge.
Lansford
Hospitality plans
A workshop on "parish hospitality" will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. in the social hall of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.
Sponsored by the Allentown Diocese Office for Social Action, the session is open to anyone who wants to share and discuss ideas and practices to help parishes reach out to "newcomers" and to those affected by the restructuring of parishes.
