DUI arrests reported in Pocono
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers on Thursday, Nov. 5.
About 1:30 a.m. along SR940 at SR314, in Pocono Summit, officers conducted a vehicle stop. The driver was identified as Kimberly Whalen, 24, of Pocono Summit. She was found to be under the influence and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where she submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
Also about 1:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle along SR196 at Tab's Tavern, in Coolbaugh Township, after being observed driven erratically. The driver was identified as Carlo Arellano, 37, of Tobyhanna. He refused to take field sobriety tests and was taken to the PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
