Monroe driver facing DUI charge
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers made a traffic stop about 1:42 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, along SR196 at the Empire Auto, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, for a motor vehicle code violation.
At the stop the driver, identified as Laureano Rodriguez, 42, of Tobyhanna, was found to be under the influence. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the county DUI center where he submitted to a blood test.
The DUI charge is pending the test results.
