Locus Ridge wins Jim Thorpe bid

Published November 13. 2009 05:00PM

Bids were opened on Thursday evening in Jim Thorpe for winter road materials for use in the borough.

The low bid and winner of the contract was Locust Ridge, which bid $12.52 per ton for up to 1,500 tons of anti-skid material to help keep borough roads safe through the winter. The high bid for the material came in at more than $84 per ton, but solicitor James Nanovic suggested that the amount could have been an error on the bid.
