Several arrests made by Nesquehoning police in recent days have been reported by Chief Sean Smith.

Officer Robert Blisard has filed summary charges against Dennis Ball, 355 W. Iron St., Summit Hill, for code/ordinance violations. He is accused of letting vegetation grow extremely high on property he owns at 130 E. Catawissa St., in violation of the borough code. Police also note that there was scrap building materials behind the residence. Ball was notified by Blisard of the violations but failed to respond and thus was charged as of Oct. 14.

Blisard also filed a summary charge of public drunkenness against Edward Snyder, 351 W. Mill St., Nesquehoning, for an incident on Oct. 6. Police said Snyder was under the influence in the 400 block of E. Catawissa St.

Officer Timonthy Wuttke filed charges against Matthew Stuber, 25 Beechwood Lane, East Stroudsburg, for default in required appearance. It is charged that Stuber failed to turn himself in at the county prison as ordered by county President Judge Roger N. Nanovic.

Police said Nanovic ordered that Stuber had to pay $1,303.59 by July 1 or report to the prison and begin serving a three-to-six month jail term. Stuber failed to pay the money and did not report as required. He is currently in the county prison serving the term imposed by the court.
