A Carbon County man was arrested recently and charged with a theft incident that occurred in April.

Nesquehoning police said Robert Cesanek, 23, of Nesquehoning, has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property and retail theft for an incident at the Turkey Hill along Catawissa Street that occurred on April 3.

Police allege that Cesanek stole a Muscular Dystrophy charity jar that had cash in it.

He is also accused of reaching behind the counter and attempting to open a bank deposit bag to take the deposit money and also for taking a breakfast sandwich.

Officer Timothy Wuttke had Cesanek arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and he was committed to the county prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
