Charges pending in Carbon incident

Charges are pending following an incident reported on Friday, Oct. 30, about 7 p.m.

State police at Lehighton said Jeffery H. Laubach, 38, of Palmerton, reported at the time and date stated he was driving along SR248 westbound in the area of the Bowmanstown exit when a car came up behind him. The other driver's car bumped the rear of Laubach's vehicle. The other driver then exited at Bowmanstown followed by Laubach. Both then stopped in an alleyway located behind Ore St. at which time the other driver got out of his car and punched Laubach's car with his fist. Laubach then left the scene and called state police.

Troopers identified the other driver as Andrew J. White, 42, of Bowmanstown. Troopers said White will be charged with criminal mischief and harassment.
