Lehighton's 7th grade field hockey team finished the season unbeaten

Eighth Grade

ES South-Lehighton

Lehighton finished its regular season with a 1-0 Mountain Valley Conference victory over East Stroudsburg South.

Robyn Cressley accounted for the Indians' lone goal with a first-half score from right in front of the Cavaliers' cage.

Lehighton ended up with a 12-2-1 overall record, while ES South finished at 14-2 on the season.

Seventh Grade

ES South-Lehighton

A 4-0 victory over East Stroudsburg South helped Lehighton record a program-best 12-0-2 overall record during the 2009 Mountain Valley Conference season.

Krassia Mertz put the Indians on the board with an early first-half goal, while Amy Smith, Carissa Sevin and Brooke Blasiak all added second half scores in the win.

The Indians' keeper Emily Steigerwalt preserved the shutout victory by grabbing three saves.
