Deer and car meet in Schuylkill
A deer and a car met along a Schuylkill County roadway on Friday, Oct. 30, about 11:40 p.m.
State police at Frackville said Marissa Herb, of Coal Township, Northumberland County, was northbound on Interstate 81 in Delano Township when the deer entered the roadway. Herb could not avoid striking the deer with her 1998 Plymouth Neon. Herb was not injured but her car had to be towed from the scene.
