Monroe driver facing DUI charge

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, along SR715 near Doll Road in Jackson Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Michael Lee Burkhart, 45, of Saylorsburg, drove his vehicle off the road at the above stated time and location. He was found to be under the influence and was transported for a blood test, troopers said.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.
