November 5, 1971 Dave Snyder scores a pair of touchdowns, one on a kickoff return, and the Lehighton defense holds Catasauqua to minus-one yard in gaining a 30-0 Lehigh Valley League win. Snyder, who rushes for 102 yards, opens the scoring with a seven-yard TD run. Lance Barry adds a 17-yard scoring run while Rich Hopstock powers in from two yards out. The Indians also score when Bob Sterling tackles a Roughie player in the end zone for a safety. After the two-pointer, Snyder takes the ensuing kickoff 70 yards to the end zone.
