Two avoid injury in Schuylkill crash

Two people escaped injury when their cars collided Saturday on State Route 183 in Wayne Township.

According to state Police at Schuylkill Haven, a car driven by Jacqueline T. Haller, 56, of Shartlesville was stopped in the northbound lane at 11:13 a.m., attempting to turn left onto Blue Mountain Road.

Haller saw that a car driven by Robert W. Conrad, 47, of Wernersville, was not going to be able to stop, and had begun to pull forward when Conrad's car struck hers.

Charges against Conrad will be filed with District Judge James Ferrier, Orwigsburg.
