Juvenile is facing Monroe charges

A 16-year-old Tobyhanna boy is facing charges in Monroe County after an incident on Oct. 31 at 12:44 a.m. in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they were called to investigate a fight in progress at the Pocono Farms East development, but found out the persons involved in the fracas has fled the area prior to the arrival of the cops. Officers later found the 16-year-old walking on Gloucester Road. The boy provided a false name to police, who also determined that he had been drinking. He was eventually transported home and released to his mother.

Police said the boy will be cited for underage drinking and providing false identification to law enforcement officials.
