Monroe driver facing DUI charge
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 3:04 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, along SR940 at the entrance to the Mt. Pocono Plaza.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said Madelon Bohdal, 24, of Mt. Pocono, was observed pulled along the road with lights on and engine running in her vehicle. Police said Bohdal was found to be unconscious with the vehicle with the transmission in drive. She could not do any field sobriety tests due to her condition. She was transported to the Monroe County DUI Center where she refused to submit to a blood test.
She was then charged with DUI and released to the custody of her parents, police said.
