CC Action Committee hosting election for board member

Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services will be holding an election for five Low Income Representatives to its board of directors. at its administrative office, 267 S. Second St., Lehighton. Eligible voters may cast a ballot without appointment at any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. the work until Friday, Nov. 20. To be eligible to vote, a person must have an annual income that does not exceed 125 percent of the Department of Health and Human Services 2009 Federal Poverty Income Guidelines as follows: family size, one, $13,538; family size two, $18,213; family size three, $22,888; family size four, $27,563; and for each additional member add, $4,675.

Voters will be required to sign and date a Voter Self Declaration of Income in order to cast a ballot during the election period.
