November 11, 1996 Tamaqua breaks a 23-game road losing streak by ending the season with a 6-0 victory at Pine Grove. The Raiders, coached by Jack Young, gain the only touchdown of the game late in the third quarter on quarterback Mike Luna's one-yard keeper. On that scoring play, tailback Cory Fritz went in motion and did several flips in hopes of distracting the defense. Fritz finishes with 56 yard rushing to lead all ballcarriers. Zach Balliet intercepts a pass for Tamaqua, while Chris Nice blocks a Cardinal punt.
