'College Recruiting Simplified' session at Palmerton
Palmerton Area High School has partnered with the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) to present "College Recruiting Simplified" tonight at 7:00 pm.
Topics covered include:
The benefits of playing collegiate sports; Understanding whether your student-athlete is really being recruited; Strategies on how to maximize an athlete's recruiting potential; Is Division I the only option?; Timelines for college recruiting; The importance of character and keeping good grades and the five things every student-athlete must do to get recruited.
Howard Stevens, a former NFL veteran with the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Colts, will be giving the seminar in the Palmerton High School Auditorium. All athletes who are interested in participating in college athletics, no matter what grade level or sport, are urged to attend with thir parents.
Only five percent of high school athletes get the opportunity to play sports in college. Howard will be discussing how to find the right college fit as well as how to properly contact college programs so you can become a part of that fivepercent.
This presentation is free to all students and their parents.
