Carbon tavern cited by PLCB

Published December 21. 2009 05:00PM

A Carbon County tavern has been cited by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's Wilkes-Barre office.

Terpstra's Tavern Inc., of 501 North St., Jim Thorpe, was cited for failing to post in a conspiciuous place on the outside of the licensed premises, or in a window plainly visible from the outside of the premises, a notice of suspension.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition the judge could impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
