Burglars scared off in Schuylkill

Two burglars were scared off in an incident in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 11:20 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20.

Troopers said two males attempted to gain entry to the home of Kim Janeczek, 39, who resides in the 200 block of Tresckow Road, McAdoo, Kline Township, by cutting through a screen of a storm door. An occupant of the home heard a noise coming from the area of the front porch and turned on an exterior light.

The two suspects then were observed running north of Tresckow Road and entering a dark-colored sports utility vehicle. They then fled in the SUV northbound on Tresckow Road, troopers said.
