Tuscarora driver cited for DUI
A Tuscarora man faces charges following a vehicle stop in Tamaqua on Sunday.
Officers were on patrol at 3:30 a.m. when they noticed a vehicle traveling north on Railroad Street, dragging its bumper along the roadway. The vehicle was stopped after turning right and traveling west on Broad Street. The driver, identified as Milton J. Drum, 35, of 26 Catawissa St., had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He was given and failed several field sobriety tests, then refused to take a portable breath test.
He will be cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.
