New Ringgold driver in crash

A New Ringgold driver was involved in a crash along SR895 (Summer Valley Road), in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

State police at Frackville said Tabitha Kovach, 38, was driving a 1992 Ford Escape eastbound when the vehicle left the road and struck an embankment then coming to rest in a field.

The state police report indicated Kovach was injured but did not state if she needed medical attention. Damages to the vehicle were termed moderate and had to be towed from the scene. New Ringold Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.

Troopers cited Kovach for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
