MCMC seeking help to solve armed robbery
Monroe County Crime Stoppers are seeking help with the "Crime of the Week."
Stroud Area Regional Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in solving an armed robbery.
On Wednesday Dec. 09, 2009 at 11:13 a.m., the Wachovia Bank at 4th and Main Streets in Stroudsburg Borough was robbed by a lone gunman. The suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect indicated that he had a gun but a weapon was not seen. The suspect then told the teller to give him the money or he would kill everyone in the bank. The suspect received an undetermined amount of money from the teller and then fled out the McConnell Street door and was last seen running south on Lower Main Street from the bank.
The suspect is a black male, mid twenties. He is six feet one inch tall and weighs approximately 170 lbs. He has a mustache and small goatee. He was last seen wearing a black zippered hoodie, a black and red tee shirt under the hoodie, black sweat pants, black sneakers with a white stripe.
