Driver facing multiple charges

A driver involved in a one vehicle crash about 11:34 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, is facing multiple charges, according to state police at Frackville.

Troopers said Amanda M. Canavan, 24, of Girardville, was driving a 1996 Dodge Neon southbound in the passing lane when, due to driver fatigue, the car drifted to the left with the driver side front making contact with the guard rail in the median. The car traveled about 400 feet along the guard rail and re-entered the road and came to rest in the southbound lane.

Canavan and passenger Charles W. Hann, 29, of Dallas, Luzerne County, were not injured. Troopers said Canavan would received multiple traffic citations.
