Lehighton Area School Board President Richard Harleman spoke on the topic "Rumors" during dedication of the newly constructed Lehighton Area High School. He said there were rumors the school had a leaking roof and that water was "gushing up" through the gym floor. The fact that it rained during the dedication, which was held in the school gym, proved such rumors to be false. Dr. Shirley Ball, superintendent of schools, praised the school boards for its efforts to improve education quality.
