One person injured in Tamaqua accident

One person was injured in a two car accident in Tamaqua on Tuesday.

Baily DeFazio of 227 Lafayette St., Tamaqua, was operating at 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis eastbound on Brown Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. She made a left turn onto Washington Street and failed to see an oncoming 2009 Mercury Mariner, operated by Ronald Yurchak Sr. of 250 Mahanoy St. The cars impacted in the intersection.

DeFazio was transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, in the Tamaqua Community Ambulance. Yurchak and a passenger indicated they would seek private medical attention, if needed, after they completed making their Meals on Wheels deliveries.
