Summit Hill reports on arrests

Summit Hill police have had their hands full of late dealing with violent individuals.

On Nov. 15 at about 2:20 a.m., police received a call for a disturbance in front of 121 N. Market St. Upon arrival the officers learned there had been a fight involving three individuals. Citations were filed on all three for disorderly conduct. They are Greg Muffley, 26, of 114 Patterson St., Tamaqua; Joseph Kosalko Jr., 30, of Lindbergh Circle, Albrightsville, and Joseph Rupinski, 36, of 95 Miner St., Coaldale.

On Dec. 5 police received a call on a domestic assault. It was alleged that the defendant, Ashley Orach, 23, of 10 S. Pine St., Summit Hill, had kicked her mother several times. She was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

On Nov. 29 at 2:04 a.m. police were called to a residence for a reported protection from abuse (PFA) violation. The defendant, Joseph Kosalko Jr., proceeded to ignore the orders of police, became combative with officers and caused a disturbance. He was arrested and continued causing a disturbance in the police cruiser, at the police station and on the way to the district judge. Kosalko Jr. was charged with resisting arrest, institutional vandalism, persistent disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
