Schuylkill man jailed for assault

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Wednesday following a domestic incident in which he assaulted a female.

State police at Frackville said Alexandra M. Pryzbylik, 35, and Peter Andrew Howard, 35, both of 2052 Main St., Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton, became involved in an argument about 11:30 p.m. Troopers said the argument was over Howard allegedly having an affair with another woman and getting her pregnant.

During the argument Howard allegedly struck Pryzbylik in the face twice with a closed fist causing burising and a chipped tooth.

Howard was taken into custody and arraigned before duty District Judge Bernadette Nahas, of Frackville, and committed to the county prison after he was unable to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.
