Free Thanksgiving dinner a huge success

On Thanksgiving Day, members of St. John's United Church of Christ, 15 South Second St., Slatington and other community members, prepared and served 200 free Thanksgiving dinners to members, friends, and shut-ins in Slatington and surrounding areas. This community outreach program would not have been successful without the help of many members who donated turkeys, baked goods, money and time. The church is grateful to area businesses for their support and generous donations of food and gift cards.

The church donated the excess food and monetary contributions to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank.
