It has been decided by the Carbon County Association of Civilian Defense Chairmen that the public display of decorative Christmas lighting be banned for the duration. It was agreed, however, that trees in private homes, yards, and on porches might be displayed provided that each and every time the tree was lit, somebody would be at hand to instantly turn off the lights at the time of an air raid alert. Applications are on hand for the issuance of the official CD flag to be used on cars and vehicles authorized to move during blackouts.
