Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be making a very special visit to the LIFE's 2nd Hand Treasures thrift store, located at West Broad Street,Tamaqua, today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As an expression of appreciation for the incredible support that the local community has given to Access Services over the years - and especially with the opening of their LIFE's 2nd Hand Treasures thrift store - this event is open to everyone. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be giving away special treats to children up to age 12 in this joyful celebration of holiday cheer.

Even if you do not have children, please stop by for a delicious selection of cookies and coffee to warm your spirits.

The thrift store supports Access Services' L.I.F.E. Day Support Program for developmentally disabled adults. The L.I.F.E. program helps these adults develop functional skills and discover their talents through volunteer work. With guidance and support, these experiences become opportunities for developmentally disabled individuals to grow and build confidence. Individuals in the L.I.F.E program learn social, community, personal and vocational skills.

The store offers a wide variety of wonderful household items, including clothing, toys, and house wares.
